Cardboard sculptures at The William Morris Gallery

Free form cardboard sculptures were made at Creative Kids in The William Morris Gallery this month. The sculptures were inspired by The Clare Mittens Exhibit,
PLANTWORKS: A Factory As It Might Be.
Clare Mitten Blog has her work in full.

Clare visited the families in Creative kids this month and explained how she was inspired by parts of plants. As she progressed working with the materials, shapes would change in the process creating new ideas. The kids made their own sculptures from cardboard, coloured paper and shapes.
I thought what Clare explained was a generous gift for being creative with abandon, or at least allow the adults to leave the children to make things that looked like nothing they had seen before. Leaving things be " just what they are"  can be challenging at times for adults.

Enjoy the photos. I am very proud of what they made. Thankyou to everyone on the Creative Kids team who helps.
